Websites for EV charger installers
What should an EV charger website include to win installs?
A page for each job you do: home, workplace, commercial and flats. Your OZEV approval in words, the charger brands you fit, clear prices, correct grant wording, real install photos and a short quote form. We build this for £600. We have no EV client yet, so this is our plan, not our proof.
You pay nothing until you've seen your homepage.

- £600or £50 a month for 12 months

The problem
If drivers can't see you're approved, they ask someone else.
People look for a charger fitted near them. So your site has to show you're approved and that you cover their area, before they'll ask for a quote.
What's on the site
What an EV charger installer website needs.
An EV charger website has one job: turn a search into a quote request. People look for a charger fitted near them, so they want to know you're approved, you can fit the right EV charging station for them, and roughly what it costs. It's the same build as our other installer websites, shaped around how charging work is bought.
-
A home charging page
Which home charger you fit, what fast charging means for the driver, what's included, how long it takes and what happens on the day. It's the page most local searches will land on, so give it your clearest button.
-
Workplace and commercial charging stations
A business owner has different questions: how many charging stations, who can use them, what charging infrastructure the site needs and what a survey covers. They need their own page and their own form.
-
Fleet charging solutions, if you do them
Fleet electrification buyers want charging solutions that can scale. If you've done this work, show it. If you haven't, leave this page out for now.
-
Flats, renters and landlords
These are the groups most current home grants are aimed at. Landlords and managing agents can have several properties, so they're worth a page of their own.
-
The charger brands you fit, and each charging app
People search for brands, such as “zappi installer” and “ohme installer”. List only the ones you really fit. Say which app each one uses, and whether it handles energy management.
-
A clear cost page
“EV charger installation cost” gets about 1,500 searches a month. Show your own prices or ranges, what they include, what adds cost and whether VAT is in the price.
-
Approvals next to the first button
Your OZEV approval in words, your Competent Person Scheme name and number, and your insurance. People want proof before they let you drill into their wall. Tell them they can find you on GOV.UK's installer finder, by postcode.
-
Photos of your own installs
The charger on the wall, the cable run, the board. Phone photos are fine, with the town and the charger named. No stock pictures of someone else's drive.
-
A page for each area, so local customers find you
One for each place you want work from, with jobs you've done there. If a page would still read true with another town's name on it, it isn't ready.
-
A short quote form
Postcode first, then contact details. Asking for a photo of the fuse board can save you a wasted visit, and it's easy to do on a phone.
-
Support after the install
Faults and who to ring. A clear support page shows you'll still be there afterwards, which matters when buyers are choosing between you and a national brand.
Search data
The searches those pages answer.
Plan the site around what people type. These are real UK searches for chargers and charging work, and the page each one should land on. There's no need for pages on a charging network, a charging app or public charging: those searches are after someone else.
| Search | A month | Difficulty | Your page |
|---|---|---|---|
| ev charger installation | 13,000 | 13 | Homepage |
| ev charger installers near me | 6,100 | 38 | Homepage and area pages |
| home ev charger installation | 1,700 | 9 | Home charging |
| ev charger installation cost | 1,500 | 3 | Cost |
| ev charger grant | 1,100 | 12 | Grants |
| commercial ev charger installation | 700 | 0 | Commercial |
| workplace ev charging | 350 | 1 | Workplace |
| ev charger installation manchester | 250 | 0 | Area page, if you work there |
| zappi installer | 150 | 0 | Brand page, if you fit them |
Ahrefs, UK, checked 3 November 2026. Volumes are modelled, so read them as rough sizes. Difficulty is out of 100.
Who you're up against: for “ev charger installers”, GOV.UK's own installer finder ranks, with national retailers and suppliers close by. A national brand can't show jobs on your street. Your best openings are likely to be town searches, cost, and the commercial work that sits at low difficulty.
OZEV and grants
Say you're OZEV approved in words. Don't use the logo.
GOV.UK says authorised installers “may not use the OZEV logo”, but may state they're approved for the home or workplace schemes. We've seen web agencies advise the opposite, so check yours. Grant wording needs the same care, because most homeowners with a drive aren't in the groups the current grants cover.
Leave off your website
- The OZEV logo, which is for government use only
- “£500 off your charger” as a promise to everyone
- Grant figures with no date on them
- Charging for the grant before a claim is made
Put on your website
- “OZEV approved” in plain text, if you are, for the schemes that apply
- Who each grant is for, and a short way to check if you qualify
- A note that the schemes run until 31 March 2027, and the latest figures with the date you checked
- One clear invoice per grant application, explained up front
| Grant | Up to | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Renters and flat owners | £500 | Households who own and live in a flat, or rent, with private off-street parking |
| On-street parking | £500 | Homes with only on-street parking, using a cross-pavement solution such as a charging gully |
| Workplace Charging Scheme | £500 a socket | Businesses, charities and public bodies, up to 40 sockets across all sites |
| Landlords | £500 a socket | Public bodies, social housing providers, private landlords and their agents, up to 200 sockets |
| State-funded education | £2,000 a socket | State-funded education institutions, up to 40 sockets across all sites |
A free listing worth keeping: once you're approved, you're added to GOV.UK's installer finder automatically. OZEV can remove you if you don't submit a claim within two years, or if you leave your Competent Person Scheme. Sources: becoming an authorised installer and installer grant guidance, both read 3 November 2026.
Our proof
We have no EV client yet. Here's what we can show.
You'd be among the first EV installers we work with. The advice on this page comes from search data and GOV.UK's rules, not from EV jobs we've done. What you can judge is how we build websites for solar and heating firms.
-
Closest work
A heat pump and heating site
NuRenewables Heating's new website went live on 31 October 2026, with a page for each service, four area pages, and its credentials next to the first button. It's too new to have results.
-
Other results
Only in solar so far
Our numbers so far come from a solar installer. They're on our results page, and they don't tell you what will happen with chargers.

The honest bit. That's a heat pump website, not an EV one. It shows how we build, not what your site will bring in. Your homepage design is free, so you can judge our work on your own business before you pay.

One fixed price for the whole website.
It doesn't change with what you install. Custom coded, with no templates or page builders, so it loads quickly on a phone. The trade-off: there's no dashboard to edit it yourself. Changes go through us, and small ones are free while we host it.

Questions
Questions from installers.
Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp and you'll get a straight answer, usually the same day.
Ask us on WhatsAppHave you built a website for an EV charger installer before?
No, not yet. We've built for solar, heat pump and heating firms. That's why you see your homepage free first, so the risk stays with us.
Can the site cover my other electrical work?
Yes. Your 20 pages are planned around what you sell, so general electrical, solar or batteries can sit alongside your charging pages.
Will my website rank on Google?
No honest person can promise a position. Your site launches built for search, with a page for each service. Climbing higher takes links and monthly work, which is what our SEO for EV charger installers covers, from £495 a month.
Can I keep my domain and email?
Yes. We move your web address over to the new site for you. Your old pages are redirected, your email isn't touched, and your current site stays up until the new one is live.
Will you work with another EV installer near me?
Not one based in your town. We take one installer per trade in the town where they're based. It doesn't cover everywhere they're willing to travel. We'll tell you straight away if your town is taken.
