The problem
What people check before they hire a bricklayer
Brickwork is on show for decades, so people look closely. These are the questions a bricklayer website has to answer quickly.
Is your work neat?
Straight courses, clean joints and matched bricks sell themselves. Sharp close-up photos of finished work are the most important thing on a bricklayer website.
Do you do our kind of job?
Someone with a leaning garden wall and a builder needing a gang for a new build want different things. Separate pages make it obvious you do both.
Can you match our bricks?
On repairs, repointing and extensions, people worry new work will stand out. Showing jobs where you matched old brick and mortar answers that before they ask.
Will you turn up?
Builders and homeowners both have been let down before. Reviews, and mentions from builders you regularly work for, show you're reliable.

Who builds it
Two people. No handoffs.
There's no account manager and no junior. The two people you talk to are the two people who build your site.
Stephanie designs it, from the layout to your branding. She brings 13+ years in the energy industry, and an eye for what makes a homeowner trust a firm.
James builds it for Google. He plans every page around what homeowners search for, and tests on our own sites first.
You deal with us directly. Same-day replies, seven days a week, from 6am to midnight.
“We will never lie to a client, even when telling the truth costs us money.”
James and Stephanie
One firm per trade, per area
Your town is yours.
We take one firm per trade in the town where they're based. It doesn't cover everywhere they're willing to travel. Once we build your website, we won't take on another firm in your trade based in your town. Plenty of designers build for the firm down the road. We won't.
Why do websites for bricklayers need more than a Facebook page?
Facebook is fine for people who already know you. A website is what shows up when a stranger searches for a bricklayer in your town, and it's yours. You decide what's on it, it can have a page for each job, and it works for homeowners and builders at the same time.
We mostly work for builders. Is a website still worth it?
It can be. Builders looking for a reliable bricklayer search online too, and a proper site with photos of your work makes you look established. A separate page for trade work means builders see what they need, while homeowner jobs fill gaps between contracts.
We don't have many good photos. Can you still build it?
Yes. We can start with what you have and show you which shots work best, usually close-ups of finished joints and wide shots of the whole job. As you finish new jobs, you send photos and they go up. The site gets stronger as you go.
Can the site show we do heritage and lime work?
Yes, if it's work you do. Lime repointing and repairs on older houses is a separate search with its own customers, so it gets its own page. We only describe the skills and work you actually offer, so nobody books you for something you don't do.
Do we need to write anything?
No. We write every page for you from a short set-up call about your jobs, areas and the work you want more of. You just approve it. If you would rather write something yourself, like a few lines about how you started, we will tidy it up and fit it in. Changes after launch are simple too.
Do I own the website?
Yes. Pay upfront and it's yours from day one. On the monthly plan, it's yours after the 12th payment. Your domain stays in your name throughout.
What does hosting cost after the first year?
The first year is included. After that, keep it with us for £20 a month, with small changes free while we host it. Or take your website files and host it anywhere. No lock-in.
What if I don't like the design?
Then you owe nothing. If you like the style, we fine-tune the details as we build. If it's not for you at all, we can try a completely different design, or you can walk away.
