“What can I say!? Absolutely outstanding service, James has totally transformed my company website to a level I never expected! From going live on Saturday the 17th of October I have already had 3 enquiries!!!! We are now on the 19th of October writing this review.
He has been absolutely none stop back and forth with questions and suggestions throughout the whole process. Just absolutely Brilliant! I would not hesitate to recommend this guy.
There are a lot of people out there that promise the world and then take your money and completely under deliver, trust me I know this as I have been burnt quite a few times. This is definitely not the case with James. Give him a try you will not be disappointed! Thanks James I absolutely love the new site. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻”

Proof, written as it happens
What happened when SolarSave's new site went live.
SolarSave is a solar and battery installer in Retford. They're having a new website, then six months of SEO. The site went live on 17 October 2026, so this is the start of the story. The numbers come from Google Search Console, a map rank tool and SolarSave's own records.
1341,977
Google views a day: the average the week before launch, then two days after. It settled at about 1,500.
6enquiries
In the first 11 days, 2 of them booked a call. Worth about £500 to £540 at SolarSave's own lead prices.
14.47.1
Average map rank for “solar panels” round Retford, 10 to 19 October 2026. Lower is better.
The honest bit: clicks stayed at about 4 a day, because most of the new searches sat on page four to six. Climbing those is the job for the months ahead. It's too early to say how many of the 6 enquiries found SolarSave through Google rather than already knowing the name. Most of the map move happened before the new site went live, and we don't know what caused it. See the full SolarSave results
What it costs
One monthly price. No contract.
No per-lead fees and no tie-in. You stay because it's working.
What changes the price
It's £495 a month. What changes is where the hours go: a competitive city needs more pages and links than a market town.
When it pays for itself
At SolarSave's own lead prices, an exclusive lead is £25 to £35 and a booked appointment is £200. So £495 is 15 to 20 enquiries a month, or 3 booked appointments.
How fast it works
A neglected Google profile can move within weeks. New pages usually take a few months to settle.
Everything stays yours
The pages, profile, reviews and links are still yours if you stop.
The 6 + 6 Guarantee
Hit your enquiry target in 6 months, or we work free until we do.
Before we start, we agree in writing how many enquiries Google should bring you in total over the first 6 months. Then we put our fee on the line.

The small print, in plain English
It applies once you've stayed and paid for the first 6 months in a row, which is £2,970. There's still no contract: stop any time, and the guarantee stops with it.
Your target is a total number of enquiries across the first 6 months, added up. Enquiries means calls and form enquiries from Google, counted by the tracking we set up in month one.
You do your part: access to your Google profile and website, a few photos from each project, and asking happy customers for a review.
We work free for up to 6 more months. Free means our £495 monthly fee. Once we hit your target, you choose whether to carry on.
If it's still not hit at the end of month 12, the free work ends. There's no refund, and you owe nothing more. You can leave, or carry on at £495 a month.

There are two of us, and no juniors. The people you talk to are the people doing your SEO.
James has done SEO for over ten years, starting at 18 on his own websites. He took one from 10 to 1,000 clicks a day from Google, has read Google's patents, and has never worked for an agency.
Stephanie has 13+ years in the energy industry and leads our design and branding, so your pages speak your customers' language.
“We will never lie to a client, even when telling the truth costs us money.”

One installer per area
We take one installer per trade in the town where they're based. It doesn't cover everywhere they're willing to travel. Your free review covers whether your town is free.
Is it right for you?
It works best for installers with room for more work.
SEO takes months rather than days, so it isn't right for everyone. If it's not right for you, we'd rather say so now.
A good fit
It's right for you if
You install solar, batteries, heat pumps or EV chargers, and can take on more work
Your customers search Google for what you install, and their town
You can give it a few months. SEO builds month on month
You're happy to ask customers for a Google review after an install
Not the right time
It's not right for you if
You need installs in the diary this week. Ads are quicker, and we'll say so
You're booked solid and can't take on more
You want a guaranteed number one spot. Nobody controls Google, so our guarantee is on enquiries
Your website is holding you back. Then a new website comes first
Your marketing options
Organic search, Google Ads or buying leads?
Ads and bought leads are quicker to start. SEO is slower, but the enquiries are yours alone, and the work doesn't vanish when you stop.

Covering short gaps
Plenty of installers use both: ads for now, search for next year. Weighing up leads? Read solar leads: buy or build?
SEO for renewable energy companies is mostly local. A homeowner searches “solar panels” or “heat pump installers” plus their town, and Google shows a map and a list. The installers in those spots get the calls.
Renewable energy SEO is the work that gets a solar, battery or heat pump installer found on Google by people ready to buy. It covers two places: the map results, and the normal search results under them.
SEO stands for search engine optimisation. The normal listings are called organic search, and unlike ads you don't pay per click. You build pages, a profile and a reputation that Google trusts, and they stay yours. Homeowners buying clean energy want a local installer. So a small local company can beat a big national one for the searches that matter.
Why energy is different from other trades
Solar panels, batteries and heat pumps are big purchases, so homeowners ask Google a lot of questions before they ask for a quote. Good pages meet them at both stages: when they're learning, and when they're choosing an installer.
It also takes two kinds of knowledge. It means knowing how Google ranks pages, and knowing what MCS certification, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and battery sizing mean to your customer. Get those wrong and a page loses trust, however well it ranks. That's why energy industry SEO needs both, and Stephanie's 13+ years in energy matter as much as James's SEO.
Local SEO and your Google Business Profile
For most installers, local SEO is where the first enquiries come from. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you appear in the map results that show above the websites.
We set the right categories, list every service you install, add your real install photos, and keep your hours and service areas accurate. Then we keep it fresh, because an active profile with recent reviews is the one homeowners trust. There's more in our guide to ranking higher on Google Maps.
If you only need the profile, our Google Business Profile service sets one up for £297 or overhauls yours for £247. We can keep it fresh for £147 a month.
A page for every technology and town
Google ranks pages, not companies. One “services” page can't rank for solar panels, batteries, heat pumps and EV chargers in ten towns. So we build a page for each one you want more of.
Before SolarSave's new site, we mapped 366 real searches to 70 pages. Cost searches were the biggest group, so the site got its own cost page. Each page answers what homeowners ask, shows your MCS certification and reviews, and makes it easy to book a survey.
Where SolarSave's new pages ranked, eight days in
solar panels chesterfield9th
solar panel installers chesterfield14th
solar panel quotes doncaster16th
solar panels retford5th
solar energy retford6th
solar pv retford6th
Six of the 209 searches we track for SolarSave, checked 25 October 2026. Most of the 209 weren't showing yet. Retford isn't new ground: the old site already ranked about there, and higher for “solar pv retford”. Chesterfield and Doncaster are the gain.
Town pages only work with real local proof: jobs you've done there, photos and reviews. A page that only swaps the town name adds nothing, and Google's spam policies warn against pages made just to rank for similar searches.
Technical SEO: a website search engines can read
Technical SEO makes sure Google can find, read and trust every page. If it can't, nothing else you do will show. We check it every month and fix what we find:
Fast loading on a phone, where many homeowners search.
No broken pages, and clean redirects when pages move.
The code Google reads (structured data) on every page, matching what visitors see.
Clear page titles and meta descriptions, so your listing is worth clicking.
Google Search Console connected, so we see what Google sees and fix what it flags.
Reviews, local links and listings
Homeowners compare reviews before they call, and Google trusts a business that other trusted websites mention. Both help you show in the map results.
We give you a short link to send after every install, and reply to every review in your voice. Our guide covers how to get more Google reviews.
We list you on the main directories, with your name, address and phone the same everywhere. Then we earn links from real local websites, such as suppliers and community groups. Buying links to rank breaks Google's spam policies, and James has seen one Google update wipe out years of work, and rebuilt from it.
Content that answers homeowners' questions
Content marketing, done right, means answering the questions homeowners ask before they buy, on your own website.
How much do solar panels cost? Do I need a battery? Will a heat pump work in my house? Each answer is a web page that can rank, and each links to the service page that turns a reader into an enquiry. We plan your SEO content from real search data, and write it using your real prices, products and installs.
Grants, finance and Boiler Upgrade Scheme pages
Homeowners search for help paying, so your website should answer those searches too. That means a clear page for each grant you work with.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme, in brief
£7,500 off an air-to-water, ground source or water source heat pump
£9,000 off an air-to-water or ground source heat pump in eligible off-gas grid homes, until 31 March 2027
£5,000 off a biomass boiler
£2,500 off an air-to-air heat pump, homes only
England and Wales. Installers must be MCS certified. Source: Ofgem, checked 2 November 2026.
Finance is different. Its adverts come under the FCA's rules on financial promotions. So a finance page only goes up if you're FCA authorised to promote that offer, or an authorised firm has approved the wording. We never invent rates or terms. Grant policy changes too, so we check every figure before each update.
Measuring enquiries, not traffic
Traffic is only useful if it turns into work. We track calls, form enquiries and direction requests, and which searches brought them.
Your monthly report puts the data side by side: Google Search Console, your Google profile and your enquiries, including what hasn't worked yet.
Where it fits in your renewables marketing
SEO is one part of your renewables marketing, not all of it. It works best alongside what already brings you work.
Referrals are often the cheapest work you'll win. Ads and bought leads fill the diary this month. SEO brings steady enquiries next year and the year after. Your website is where all of it lands. We're not a digital marketing agency that does everything: we do SEO and websites, because that's where we can show results. For the rest, we'll tell you straight what's worth the money.
Want this applied to your business? We'll check where you stand on Google and tell you what we'd fix first.
With us, £495 a month, flat, with no VAT, no contract and no per-lead fees. We publish the price so you can rule us in or out before you talk to anyone.
How long until I see more enquiries?
It depends on your area and where you start. A neglected Google profile can move within weeks. New pages usually take a few months, and the gains build from there.
What if SEO doesn't bring me enquiries?
We agree an enquiry total for your first 6 months in writing before we start. If we haven't hit it after 6 paid months in a row (£2,970), we work free until we do, for up to 6 more months. Then the free work ends, with no refund. See the 6 + 6 Guarantee.
Is SEO better than buying leads?
Lead sites often sell the same homeowner to several installers, and charge you for each one. SEO brings enquiries that come to you alone, and keeps working after the work is done. Our guide to solar leads goes into the numbers.
Do I need a new website first?
Not usually. New pages and fixes can normally go on the site you have. If your site is holding you back, we'll tell you in your free review, and our renewable energy websites start with a free homepage design.
Can you guarantee number one?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls Google. We promise proper work on the searches that bring installs, and honest reporting. Our guarantee is on enquiries instead: see the 6 + 6 Guarantee.
Do you only do solar SEO?
No. We work with solar, battery, heat pump and EV charger installers, and heating engineers moving into renewables. Whether you're a small solar company or take on commercial renewable projects, the work is the same. We only take one installer per trade in each area, meaning the town where they're based. For solar, see our SEO for solar companies.
Do you work across the UK?
Yes. We're based in Sheffield and work with installers across the UK. Because we take one installer per trade in each area, we'll tell you straight away if we can't take yours.
